Clara and her husband Atley using their two older sons, Atley Junior. and Russell, resided in the home before the boys were school age.  Clara have been a schoolteacher and felt the necessity to proceed to Melbourne to ensure that the boys could obtain a better education and participate more fully in class activities.  Another boy, Edward Hartman, was created in Melbourne in 1928.  The home was leased for a time of about 5 years, before the Bensen family came back to Grant.  Atley Bensen died in 1961, and Clara ongoing to reside in the home until age and failing health required a proceed to a Polk elderly care.  In those days the home was again leased.
